Arata is a high school student born and raised in Yokohama, Japan in 2007, currently attending Kanagawa University High School. Through programs such as TOMODACHI and EdFuture’s World Terakoya, Arata has participated in short-term study programs in Australia and the United States (Silicon Valley, New York, and Boston). Having realized the importance of self-acceptance from early childhood experiences, Arata is taking on various initiatives—including co-founding a student group—to help build a society where diversity is embraced and everyone can accept themselves as they are. Arata is now preparing to launch a social business centered on producing picture books in the future.
KYC Analyst for International Financial Institutions
Yoshin Wang has long been engaged in refugee education support. She currently works as a KYC Analyst for international financial institutions, assessing regulatory compliance and transaction risks from an anti–money laundering and counter-terrorist financing perspective. Having majored in International Relations, she deepened her commitment to contributing to society through finance during her humanitarian activities in Turkey, Lebanon, and Jordan. Multilingual and culturally adaptable, Yoshin strives to promote fairness, transparency, and sustainable financial inclusion across borders.
SoftBank Corp.
Born in Tokyo in 2000, Nozomi graduated from Waseda Junior/Senior High School, and the School of Law at Waseda University.
During his studies, he participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and spent a year at Humboldt University of Berlin studying EU law.
He also served as a teaching assistant for student-led courses and led a career education project for high school students. Inspired by fieldwork on Yap Island, he continue to explore the question, “What is true richness?”
Currently, he works at SoftBank Corp. in business development, aiming to realize next-generation social infrastructure through cross-industry collaboration. At the company’s entrance ceremony, He had the honor of delivering the address on behalf of all new employees across the SoftBank Group
In parallel, he serves as a program coordinator for the GX × New Business course at the Green Innovation Academy, operated by founding members of the Yokohama Hub.
Open Up CEO / Venture Café Tokyo Program Lead
Eiki Homma graduated from Sophia University in 2022 and spent a year on exchange at the University of San Francisco. While in university, he founded a startup called Open Up and has since been passionate about creating spaces where young people with type 1 diabetes can connect, share, and support one another through events such as BBQs, meetups, and retreats.
Beyond YOUNG 1, Eiki has been involved in Venture Café Tokyo and YOKOHAMA CONNÉCT, organizing events that bring together innovators from diverse backgrounds to collaborate and spark new ideas.
He enjoys meeting new people, hearing their stories, and finding ways to make a positive impact together.
